no previous part Part 1 of Delta JT160 Jointer series no next part

I purchaseded a Delta JT160 6” Jointer, After setrting it up and testing it I noticed the table is rough. You can see and feel the cutter ridges with your finger nails both infeed and out feed kind of like a fingernail file. Is anyone else aware of this. I have looked at other jointers and the table is smooth like glass

If you bought the jointer new take it back. The tables should be smooth. You might see some machining marks but they should not be raised and should you most definately not be able to feel them

Sounds like QC missed this one and let it slip by. Needs to get back on the mill for final finishing. Hope this was not an as is sale unit?
