Location: Los Altos, Ca

I do woodworking as a hobby and to make things that I don't want to buy or in the early days couldn't afford to buy. The first set of tables that I made 34 years ago with a hand miter saw is still being used by my daughter. I had only intended to use it for a short time until we got something better. She likes old strange things so they fit that requirement. I still have a full time job so mostly work on weekends in the winter. I share my garage with two cars that I can get in, but need to move when I want to do anything.

Welcome to LumberJocks. There are lots of friendly and knowledable people here. Try the shuffle feature if you have not already. It is at the top right side of the screen and is a great way to see the older content of the site. Enjoy.

I just found about this site from Woodcraft magazine so thought that I would give it a try. Don’t know the culture yet.
