« Part 4: Got some more Cherry logs today Part 5 of From Logs To Lumber series Part 6: Got a Nice Elm and some Poplar »

Well got back into the woods yesterday again cutting some more wood. Got 3 more cherry logs and 1 nice White Pine log. Still got that Hard Maple tree to get the logs out of. Maybe next weekend if the weather holds and it don’t rain this week. Need to start getting the logs up out of the woods. Might be able to get some pictures posted this week. I am going to have a lot more logs that what I had planed on. Will have to measure them to see about how much I am going to have but I do know it is going to be a lot. Right now I have 7 Hemlock, 11 Cherry, 1 White pine, 1 Hard Maple that might be curly, 3 Hard maple. Plus I still got that Hard maple that I have on the ground to cut the logs from. Today I split up the Cherry that I had out of the woods that won’t make logs and got about 2 face cord for smoking.

Sounds like you have some nice wood coming soon. Do you have any particular projects planned for any of these ??

No I don’t but when you get something like this to stock pile some wood real cheap it is hard to turn down.
