Well today had another Cherry that was standing that was dead. I cut it down and it was bad in the middle so I took off a couple blocks from the end. It then was sound so ended up getting 4 more logs from it. The largest one is 20 inchs on the small end and 8 feet long. Also knocked down a Hard Maple that the roots were out of the ground. I didn’t have time to cut the logs from it so I just anchorsealed the end for now and that is a project for a different day.

sounds good. I hope you get some pics of the process. It sounds like you’ve got quite a bit of work going on.

Yah I plan on getting some pictures of them to post. Right now I am just working on getting them cut and anchorsealed. Then when it gets dryer I am planning on getting them out of the woods. I am estimating that I will have 2 to 3 thousand bf of lumber when I am done. Some of the cherry I am planning on doing as 8/4 and 12/4 and a little bit of 5/4. About 15 years ago I got 500 bf of cherry out of the same woods. The Hard Maple I am going to do some 8/4 and 5/4 also.
