Making Sofa table by handtools #5: Tapered sliding dovetail

I made temporary guide for saw and chisel. the angle is 1:8.

marked…

sawed inside pencil line.

then plowed out with router plane.

the guide was turned upside down for trimming with chisels.

and the doevetail pin was made by my own made dovetail plane.

Can you see that the front is narrow?

upto here, I didn’t use mallet.

my own made dovetail plane / recoilless hammer.

These were assembled without glue.
