I have been a fan of woodworking since I was a little boy. Didn't really get started actually doing anything about setting up a shop until about six years ago however. My father was a finish carpenter and I was always "in his way" when he was working on projects but that is where I got the urge to "do some woodworking someday".

As of this writing, I have finally retired from my real job as an engineering manager for a 28 year old Plastic Extrusion company. The plans from this point on are to enjoy my woodworking hobby more, experimenting with things that I had not tried before and just taking it all in at a much slower pace. I also want to spend more time developing my two websites:

Ol' Daves Woodshop
http://www.oldaveswoodshop.com

and

Fastrac Antique Tractor & Support Group
http://www.adeptr.com
(old antique tractors and engines are another of my pastime interests).

At any rate, I hope to accomplish bigger and better projects down the road and just have fun doing them.

Dave

Hello Dave,

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for adding me to your buddies list. I made a quick perusal of your site. It looks great. I will spend more time with it at a later date.

My wife and I have been into antique and collectibles and was happy to find a collector of something so uniquely common as garden hose nozzles. It will be in the forefront of my mind now when we are out “hunting treasures”. Any specific qualities to look for?
