Wow!!! Thanks guys for the warm welcome. It is kind of neat to see such an active group of people. I just moved to Selma, NC from Chesapeake, VA. I have been here a couple of months but my tools are still packed up in a couple of trucks I own. Still got to get the house, etc. in order before Arlene (my better half) will allow me to set up the garage as my play area. I have downsized considerably both in area and tools. Now I am wondering why I got rid of so many tools. It is like starting over again. Haven’t gotten to meet too many people around the area and having a hard time finding hard wood suppliers in this local area. Hope to get up and running soon. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi Dave …. welcome to LJ’s.

Since you’re just 30 minutes from Raleigh, you might want to look up Klingspor’s Woodworking Supplies,
East Wake Hardwoods (might be some deals here—heard they were going out of business), and of
course, WoodCraft for wood supplies—usually someone at one of these places can also point out a
local mill where you can buy at a much better price.

Good Luck …

Packman Klingspor’s woodworking Supplies turned out to be a great place. There is a ww club that meets there. May be a great resource. Thanks!
