I was wondering what kind of glue people use for veneering. Recently I have tried Titebond Cold Press Glue for veneer. I have have decent results with this product. Any thoughts?
I use nothing but hide glue. Most often hot but on certain occasions I use liquid (Old Brown Glue). If you are interested in learning about the advantages of this centuries old stand by have a look at this blog.
I do a lot of veneering, much of it quite intricate and wouldn't consider anything else.
There is an article in this month's Popular Woodworking (Oct. 2014 / #213) about this very subject. The article is about Unibond 800 urea formaldehyde glue used for veneering.
