My name is Chuck Bender. I am a professional furniture maker specializing in 17th, 18th and early 19th Century American reproductions. I've been working wood for over 30 years. You can see some examples of my work at my website. I've recently started a woodworking school which you can also learn about at my website (www.acanthus.com). I am a managing partner and content producer for 360 WoodWorking. I also teach and give woodworking presentations at woodworking shows and woodworking clubs across the country. In October of 2009, I was one of the presenters at Popular Woodworking's Woodworking in America Hand Tools Conference and I've recently released my first instructional DVD.
I hope to learn from being part of the lumberjocks community and, hopefully, help others learn from my years of experience. It looks like I've become a regular fixture around here.
