Hey Friends!

It’s been a little while since I told you about Charles Neil inviting me to build this project along with him and about him sending me the material to build his newest of “Mastering Woodworking” subscription webcast, where he’s building or rather “we” will be building a lowboy. It started last week and another installment is coming this Thursday. It started with the making of the cabriole legs, and as usual, Charles makes it a lot easier than you would ever imagine it could be…that’s just what he’s good at. If you’re so inclined, sign up and do your own build along.

Back to the update: the material is in route and it’s taking a little longer for me to get started. I’ll give you another update when the material arrives.

BTW… I just got a notice about Charles coming out with a new DVD, “It’s All About The Color”. It’s an update that goes beyond Charles’ “Finishing, A-Z”, and tells you specific formulas that can even make poplar look like any wood you want. If it’s one tenth as good as “Finishing A-Z”, it will be great. I think I must have just about every DVD set he’s made and I’ve learned tons from all of them.

Can’t wait to get started on the lowboy.

I’ll also be keeping up with this. I get Charles’ newsletter, and have watched some of his videos. He really does make things look easy. I’m glad you are getting to take part in this.

It must be pretty exciting to get involved with Charles Neil.

Tremendously talented and very generous with the knowledge, that makes him the perfect LumberJock.

Hey Todd are you on vacation, I see you’ve switched to your hiking gear.

Cabriole leg, I’m out. I think I’ll enjoy watching and rooting for Jim, everyone knows Charles can build a lowboy.

I don’t think the point is Charles knowing how to make a lowboy but learning how to do it ourselves.
