« Part 3: Almost done Part 4 of Christmas Boxes series no next part

One last push and they are done.

Here is the box with the dried homemade wood filler.

Here it is sanded. Not to bad. Some of the holes were a little to tiny to hold the filler . . . but that’s ok. I will know for next time.

Boxes with nameplates attached. DW purchased the plates on-line for next to nothing. Its the second year we purchased engravings from this guy and they have been quality both times. The screws did not come with the plates. They are #4 Robinson wood screws 1/2” long. I should have put the drawers in place before taking the pictures as the boxes look a little out of wack.

DW added a few mirrors.

Then she added all the little girl goodies.

I hope they like them

I really like this design and the execution is none too shabby either. Very nicely done, sir. Did I mention I really like the design?

Thanks guys.

My tolerances could have been better, but I considered my audience . . . a 6, 5, and 4 year old. I’m guessing they may be a little rough on the boxes and I’m hoping they will not be scrutinizing my joinery. :-)

They will probably get more fun out of the $3 in stuff stuffed in each box . . . LOL.

Now I have to build DW’s Christmas gift. Have to put on my “A” game for this one . . . or at least a solid “B+”.

Lucky wee lassies.
Look forward to seeing your A+ box. :)
