I work from home in a three car garage. I got tired of renting space and moving every few years due to wacky landlords. It is about 1000 square feet which is a lot smaller than the 5000 I was in. It required quite a bit of planning and new equipment purchases to make it work. My main machine is my Felder sliding table saw with a built in shaper with power feed. I highly recommend this machine, it has changed the way I work for the better and makes everything go more smoothly with high accuracy. I also have a combo planer/jointer made by MiniMax, it is the 16 elite series with a tersa head. Again a great machine for a smaller shop.
I do a lot of veneering so I have a vacuum bag setup fulltime at eye level with lumber storage beneath for my current project. This room doubles as my spray room so everything is on wheels in case I need a bit of extra room.
I have full dust collection, gas heater, AC, wood stove and quad sound so it is a pleasure to work in and very comfortable

Thanks Mike and James. I replaced an old garage door with three french doors that all swing out of the way. Two are on a piano hinge and fold up. I have always loved glass transoms and added the different stained glass to spice it up a bit. Eventually I will re shingle the whole thing and change all the trim to black.
