I am a woodworking student at the Kentucky School of Craft in Hindman, Kentucky. I am extremely excited to be in this course and love all things related to woodworking. Unfortunately, we don't have a full-time teacher at this point, so I spend most of the time teaching myself, watching podcasts (I'm talkin' bout you, Wood Whisperer), and reading any kind of book I can get my hands on. I'm excited that we should have a full-time teacher in January, and can't wait to get started on a more disciplined approach to woodworking. The school itself has almost every power tool that could be desired and a small number of hand tools as well.
I'm currently looking for a job in furniture manufacturing or custom millwork that will allow me to spend more time pursuing my dream to someday open my own studio.
