I pulled the trigger on buying a new bandsaw today. I went ahead and got the Grizzly 14” 555X with riser. It took me a while to make the decision and even longer to actually hit the checkout button. Man that’s a lot of money.

Got the saw in on Monday and put it together that night. I have to say I am impressed. It is quiet, fast, easy to use and handles anything I have thrown at it so far. Even the setup wasn’t hard and I am a complete novice. Be sure to get a friend to help you lift it.

I will let you know. Just ordered it this morning. It is my understanding from reviews that shipping is fairly fast so hopefully I will have it this week. If the electrical work I am doing in the garage in preparation goes well, I hope to have it setup and running by the weekend.

I have always said that with tools you get what you pay for. You are indeed getting a quality bandsaw with this purchase that should do just about everything that you want to. I am looking forward to seeing a review of it.

It is a chunk of change, but if it is anywhere near as powerful & nice as mine, the 555 Ultimate Bandsaw, you’re gonna love it!! I look forward to using mine at every opportunity! Enjoy!!
