Here are some more pens that I helped Will turn…
1. Ebony… You cannot see the swirls but it is really pretty… (From the Swap)
2. Pen and Pencil set… Made from a green swirl acrylic top with a deep red bloodwood bottom.. Really turned out nice… (From the Swap)

3. The Last set was made by me from a Kentucky Red Oak Tobacco stick with deer antler used as the ring… I have sold many of these since tobacco has been a long standing tradition in Kentucky.. (Sent some in the swap)

These pens were by William Robertson as I taught him how to turn pens… This was his first time in pen turning and is using these as Christmas gifts… It was a joint effort with Will doing most of the work as I gave him direction…

1. BEAUTIFUL piece from an Apple tree from my neighbor’s yard… Yes he knows… I wish you could see it better… (Sent some in the swap)
2. Cherry cut on the diagonal.. It was a UGLY chunk of wood but is making great pens… (Not in Swap)
3. Dogwood… Some say the grain is ot impressive but was wanted because it is a favorite tree… (From the Swap)

It is fun to teach others to do this!!! I feel as if it is my work but with more feeeling since I love helping others learn…

Here are some of my latest pens usiing the Wall Street II Pen kits from Woodcraft… They are done in deer antler, rosewood burl, and a segmented walnut maple that I created…

In June I took a pen turning class at Woodcraft… Since that time I have gone crazy on pen turning… Not only have I been turning them but I have been selling them as well.. Every pen that I sell I give money to Military Missions (www.militarymissionsonline.com) to mail a package to our heros serving our country…
