, NJ
United States

Currently a small old brick house/barn from late 1800’s to early 1900s.
Approx. 20 ft by 20 ft wide. A few modifications and was a usable barn/workshop for me. I have posted a few of my tools as well. Enjoy…love to hear your comments.

Pic descriptions
I have 3 hand planes thus far, 2 bit and braces, 1 hand crank drill press, and 1 hand crank hand drill.

I agree with Splinterman. Tours of other shops are always an interesting post.

Yeah, thanks… the two drills i’ve had for a little while now, but the braces and planes are relativly new. I’m working on getting a sharpening stone or something, any suggestions or what grease to use?

about this grease you can look into Mafes projects
but you can also just use a piece of cloth with some oil
but all these things can bee religion to some people
allso this about sharpening you can use sandpaper , oilstones , waterstones, waterbased maschinestone and
some even use honing strops try them out if you can , some use sharpening jiigs other doit freehanded
use what you find best but its a skill that need practisch before it is mastered just like the benchplanes

but look in you-tube as I told you then you will know alot more

WW, I think that you have a very nice shop. I have always wanted a shop in a stand alone building and I think that you are using wise judgement in concentrating on hand tools first.
