Being a woodshop teacher for the past 30 years has been a dream come true and while I could take retirement right now....what better job is there then this? I'm at the top of my game. Why in the world would I want to give it all up when I love it so much?

Here are some highlights of my career for anyone who cares to take a moment... My program gained attention because of a project we did for Make a Wish http://www.divshare.com/download/7043766-314 . My program was featured in WOOD magazine http://www.scribd.com/doc/3301891/editor-angle . Also in American Woodworker magazine http://www.prescottschools.com/phs/woodworking_article_09-07.pdf where they started a new "School News" section because of one of my students... Lindsey Dill's Fabulous Frames published in July 07. Following that, they asked me to begin writing for them which I have been doing since. After my first article about CarveWright was published, we were featured on the CarveWright educational brochure http://www.carvewright.com/education/downloads/CWedubrochure.pdf . My program was featured in a local publication, Prescott Women magazine http://www.divshare.com/download/5252468-45b .

In fact, I could show you over 200 more examples of publicity my program has gained. I also started my own curriculum project (download a sample powerpoint http://www.divshare.com/download/4719790-760 that has been adopted by many teachers across the North America. Come visit http://www.woodworkingteachers.com, http://www.woodshopteachers.com, and http://www.prescottschools.com.

If you want to learn more about the curriculum, e-mail me and I'll let you have another sample. I'm hoping some of the woodshop teachers (or soon to be teachers) will want to correspond through e-mail. I'd love to talk about woodshop. It's my favorite subject.

Hello Woodshopteacher,

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
