Part 1: The start of something great
Okay, I have talked about this for a while, and I have been saveing some money for it, but I just now started the renevation of my home shop. I am going to be downgradeing in lengh but square feet wise, it is the same. the only thing that conserns me is infeed and outfeed length for my tablesaw. I can only cut about a 4 foot board with it, but anything larger I guess I can have run out the door. Me and my dad are doing all the work ourselves. Part 2: The Door
Here is the door that we put in. It is a hollow core door, and it is 36 inches wide. We got it at home depot for around 50 bucks. I then put on the door knob which is just a cheapy stainless steel door knob. It looks great but it took along time to shim and make the door level. So here it is. Electrical is next :O
Part 3: Down to the wire... Literaly!!
We finaly finished what seemed like a never ending electrical horror show. we spent one whole day trying ot get a stinking wire through a pipe to the breaker box, well after going one way, the other way, takeing pipe peices apart, puting a fishtape in, nothing worked, so we decided to run our own pipe, we got a bender and put in the pipe pretty quickly. Part 4: Drywall!!!!
Well here it is with drywall!! I can’t believe how cool it will be to finally have a “real” shop. The drywall is SO heavy and a pain to work with. Like every three seconds a new chip or crack has formed and the so the finishing touches on the plaster and mud are going to be put on soon. Hopefully this weekend we can finish with paint and the trim. This took a lot longer than I thought it would take from he beginning.
