Welcome to LumberJocks. Enjoy the community. You are the future of Woodworking – enjoy, learn and pass on the knowledge. You sound much wiser than your young age would indicate. Your Dad and Mom must be very proud of you – I am.

From one “Chicagoland-er” (Naperville) to another, welcome to LumberJocks! When I was your age my only power tool was a bulky, bright orange K-Mart drill and most of what I built started as 2×4’s. You’re off to a early and very impressive start!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
I was born and raised in Skokie. Maybe when I go back to visit my brother I can stop and see your shop if its alright with your folks.
God Bless

you have some verry clean work young man…... i love the train and checker board. you said in your profile that you would like to move on to bigger and better things. believe me you will just keep doing what your doing and youl be making things you never thought possible. i think you would enjoy a lathe. its a great tool. whenever i cant think of anything to build or i am bored with what i am doing i jump over to the lathe and turn a bowl or vase. you can find fairly inexpensive ones on ebay. good luck. have fun and ill be looking foward to seeing you post future projects

You do so get work and it awsome to see passion so young. Two words of advise. First is continue doing what you love no matter what. If you fallow your passion you can only end up doing what you love and getting paid for it. Second, make your work a BIG DEAL. You are great a talking and writing about your work but your biggest promoter is you pictures. Get a nice, solid color back drop (mine is a black sheet) and take some really good high rez shots of your stuff. Take at least four or five shots from every angle with different settings. Photo shop them up nice. This is so improtant! TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING YOU MAKE!
