« Part 1: Kitchen Table build Part 2 of Kitchen table Build series Part 3: Day 3 starting the base »

So I started this entry this morning before I went out to the Shop to start this build I am so excited to do. Right as I was about to walk out the door go figure my wonderful daughter woke up and were begging for bacon and eggs… so the start had to hold of a little bit for the little princess’s. I did finally get out to the shop and here is what was accomplished today (definitely not as much as I had hope but a start non the less)

I started with just some basic pine lumber, cut and planed it down to rough size. For the table top I just used pocket holes and glue. Nothing real complicated but as you can see I had a decent amount of work to do sanding and cutting to final size. Final size of the top will be 45×65.

After diner was my daughter softball game and right back at it, removing all my clamps and straps and ended my day sanding and sanding and scraping and scraping. I always get asked by my kids why I love this stuff so much cuz all I do is get dusty and dirty and slivers and cuts all the time… sometime when Im in the mood I will get a little sarcastic and tell them cuz it gets me a break from you but really is just a piece of mind like im sure all of you know all to well… anyhow after all that this is how my day ended and to be continued… that is if anyone wants to read all my jiberish.

Thanks for reading!!!
