My day job is in law enforcement for the past 41 years. My wife says I only have 10 more years to retirement. I spend a great deal of time in my shop. Or as my wife refers to it the Man Shrine. I enjoy most areas of wood working and especially enjoy scroll sawing. I have been doing woodworking as a hobby for about 15 years and scrolling for about 5 years. I am just now starting to get into marquetry and have meet some great people on LJ that have helped me out a great deal. I have 4 children and 10 grandchildren and most of my projects seem to be keeping up with their want lists. I would love to learn to turn, carve, do intarsia, and improve my finishing skills. So much to do and so little time. lol I finally within the last 3 years have a garage large enough to park two cars and still have space for my shop where I don't have to move every thing around. I am in the process of insulating and hope to have it heated by next winter. Who knows I may not ever have to leave the shop.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
