I’ve been bitching for a while about the price of wood here in Hawaii and then as fate would have it, I ran into a guy at an art show who turns bowls. I got to talking with him and he mentioned that he sells wood too. I stopped by his place today and he sells all local woods for super cheap (comparatively). He had some amazing stuff and he gets it all for free through his work so he doesn’t really worry about the profit! Awesome stuff. Here’s what I bought!

From left to right:
Cuban Mahogany, pheasant wood, monkey pod, koa, mango, and narra.

t know what I want to make first! Some of it has great figure!
