Well… I just posted in the Hand Tools section of the forum but I should properly introduce myself.
Hi guys,
I am from Texas and very new to woodworking. Probably have about 3 weeks and haven't really done much in progress. More along the lines of learning to sharpen chisels. Getting cut by them trying to use them. And watching my self bleed in awe at how easily these things can cut you.
Also I have acquired a No 4 & 5 Bailey planes. Love the 5. Haven't used the 4 yet. And a Craftsman jointer. Haven't used it either. Actually just got that one like 2 days ago and have been restoring it. Might have been a bad buy but I guess Ill have to see when I'm done with it. Also working on sharpening the iron on these. Did the No. 5 but not sure how well I did the job. It cuts fine but don't do to well flattening the surface of wood. I tend to cut to much on one side even though I fell I am putting an even pressure giving me a slant that then I have to work more to take it out and by that time the dimensions are way off from all the wood if taken off lol
But anyways, thought I should say Howdy!
EDIT: ... and.. I don't think this is where this goes lol
