It was a pleasure knowing you for this short time here on LJ. Your projects were so skillfully done with limited tools and that was inspiring. I know you will never read this but to your family I know you will be missed and here also.

    Rest in Peace Robert.

Thank you for the comments. I see that you are on Etsy also, and your page looks good. I tried to 'Favorite" your site, but I notice it does it thru Facebook. When I get better at facebook I will ad you to our favorites on our Etsy store.

We started on Etsy not too long ago and will be adding new items.

Sorry, professor_x I do not know where to buy the pink ivory veneer!
I buy my veneer at several different places, but I have not seen pink Ivory veneer!
I bought a chunk of pink ivory at Woodcraft store and then cut it down!
My suggestion to you is to buy, a chunk of it and cut it or have someone cut it, a band saw is really nice for that type of cut.
Sorry I could not help more, if you are just wanting a pink color, I would look into Woodcraft as they have a dyed veneer that is pink!
Sounds like it is going to be a pretty ring, make sure to post the finished product so we all can see!!
    Good Luck!

Hi, I am having a difficult time finding pink ivory veneer, any suggestions? I want to make one out of jet black ebony with an extremely thin pink ivory inlay. Any advice is highly appreciated! (would have sent in a message but I can't send messages because I am a new member)

    Hey WoodenFrog,

I have been messing around with bentwood rings and curious if you ever made a blog on it? I am mostly curious if you have any suggestions or tips on the best way to keep the layers firmly pressed together. Also how many layers are you using?

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ's as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
