With the holidays right around the corner, I thought it was a perfect time for a contest. I want you guys to build a Keepsake or Jewelry Box. It can be any Shape and size, just be creative. The Contest is from October 3, 2012 – December 3, 2012 So there is plenty of time to get out out in the shop and get building. We have some great prizes to give away thanks to the support of our contest sponsors.

Woodworkers Guild of America

The United Federation of Woodworkers

Be sure to keep an eye out for the Contest update coming to you December 5, 2012 for a complete listing of prizes.

2 ways to enter all entries must be submitted by Dec 3, 2012

1. submit a video response to this video showing your keepsake box or jewelry box”
2. Submit a photo or photos of your keepsake box or jewelry box to Contest Email Entries
Only one Rule
You must build this project between now and December 3, 2012. Do not submit a video or photo of an existing project. There is plenty of time to build a new project specifically for this contest.

If the master boxbuilders here enter the contest, we know who will have the top spots, but maybe I can
manage to come in about 25th or so. Sounds like a fun contest.

It doesnt take a master box builder to take home a prize… Anyone can take the top spots.. There are a lot of prizes to give away, so all I ask is you guys and girls do your best, have fun and be creative… and the best of luck to everyone…
