Hey everyone, well we continue where we left off on this Buffet with Hutch Project. due to the Length of the project I broke it down into 5 parts. I hope you enjoy.

Part 2 discusses some changes made from part 1 and it may be a bit confusing, but everything begins to fall into place in parts 3-5

Parts 4 & 5 will be out later today. I am posting them as fast as I can upload them, so you Guys and Gals don’t have to wait.

hey Laney I’ve just got thur watching part 2 and it was a very informative video. i like the length of the video ,i think it gives a lot more detail instruction. i plan on building three for my grand daughters for Christmas and hope im not being to ambitious .i’m still pretty new and haven,t learn how to do the mortise and tenons yet .do you think bisquets will work ?. i may try to go with the mortise and tenons you use but will have to learn that method first and not sure how hard it is may be the right build to learn on. and thanks for the teaching on this . and the changes that you showed when i order the plans will they be on it i think you said they were but just wanted to check and thanks again

Hi Eddie, I am sorry it took me so long to reply, I was working out of town today. Biscuits will work fine, you can also assemble the frames using pocket hole screws, (Kreg Jig) . When it comes to mortise and Tenon joints, did you happen to see part 1 of this project? in it I talk about mortise and Tenons, and show you how I cut the tenons on a table saw. In the video I use a mortise machine to cut the mortises, but these mortises can be cut using a drill press and a chisel, can be cut out solely using a chisel, etc. It may not be the project to learn on, you are right, but you should take some scrap pieces of wood and give it a shot. It is a very simple joint to get the hang of and eventually master. If you are comfortable with using a biscuit joiner then that is fine…. No need to order the plans, they are free for download at http://www.thenewfoundlandwoodworker.com/FreePlans/default.html If you have any questions on this project, i would be happy to assist.
