Steve Ramsey of Woodworking For Mere Mortals stops by the shop to answer a few questions, I also present him with a plaque representing thee event that took place 1 month ago when the woodworking community came together to raise money to buy Steve a new Porter Cable Table saw. Steve is such an amazing guy, and this short video gives a behind the scenes look at Steve.

The plaque is a recognition and a way of showing appreciation for the contribution that Steve gives to the woodworking community.

You are welcome Roque, I would like to make these Shop Talk videos a part of my video line. its a way to just stay in touch with people in the community. Of course my project videos will be the main stay, but im thinking about throwing a few of these in every now and again… The interview with Steve Ramsey and also Matthew Agate the 10 year old woodworker were fun to make…So in short, you will see more of these in the future.. :O)

thanks s for posting your video I to am greatly appreciative of Steve’s contributions
week after week, he gives us new ways to look at projects. This community has so many great contributors
I seem like such a leech sometimes, but now and then I find my self sharing with woodworkers in our guild something that this community has shared ,which I pass on. And I think that is how we all grow by learning and sharing our knowledge . I would also like to add that Steve Shares his excitement for wood working, and personally I think it is contagious. Thanks again for sharing this video and for getting Steve the Saw that he so richly deserves.

Hey Rob, No need to feel like a Leech, lol ..its a give and take thing, and i would have to say even the most knowledgeable woodworker gets his inspiration and ideas from others. then takes what he/she learns and passes it on, its the paying it forward that counts… My woodworking and videos is my small way of paying it forward and taking what I have learned from others and passing it along. That’s the really great thing about woodworking, you truly learn something new each day, and pretty much with each project. So keep on taking what you learn and passing it along.. It is a never ending cycle :O) Steve was very deserving of the saw…. Who knows, he may have a Scroll Saw in his future one day :O) lol….Porter Cable are you listening???? ha ha .. hint hint.. :O) On a serious note Rob, thank you for watching the video and commenting..I greatly appreciate it.

Great Video. I so enjoy watching you and Steve and your great projects. Both of you are inspirations in my woodworking. I am still learning and all the woodworkers that take the time out of their schedules to make the videos teach me something everyday. I try and learn something from each and every video I watch and there are so many. Besides you and Steve, I’m a great fan of Capt. Eddie Castelin and his wood turning videos and there are just too many others to mention. Keep up the good work and my God bless you all.

One way to hide your edits is have a face 2 face interview, like in the “60 Minutes” show.
