Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

    God Bless

I love this quote from your website:
"Our long term goal is to turn people's trees into heirloom furniture."

My ears perk up everytime I hear of someone building a new house… what are they doing with the trees?!?

There is talk of building a new Middle School in our town. I made sure to get in front of the school board to talk about having students in the shop classes use the trees from the proposed building site in class. It's received some positive feedback and I'm hopefull that it will happen. if the new school happens of course!

Seriously nice work, and welcome to the site. You will find this community to be helpful and very supportive.
I checked out your site and am envious, especially since your passion is your occupation as well.
Can't wait to see what else you come up with.
    cheers

    WoodGal,

From one woman woodworker to another . . . the media cabinet for your husband is gorgeous.

I'm relatively new to this site, and after seeing your project entry, I came back here to learn about you. I enjoyed your website. (It seems we have much in common. I, too, am 39-and have been for quite a number of years! And I have even visited Newton-had a good friend from there that I met at dress design school, and spent a weekend at her house-about 39 years ago.)

All your pieces of work look really outstanding. I also enjoy making large pieces of furniture. I haven't found too many other women who do. My biggest problem is handling them for glue-ups once they get mostly assembled. How do you deal with that? Enlist your husband? Or is Lenny available to help out?

I'm looking forward to seeing more posts of yours on LJ. Some day I hope to get a few of my things posted, too.

    TreeBones asked,

Your website is great, are you the Webmaster?

Glad you like the website TreeBones, my wonderful husband created the template for the WoodGal site but I've taken over the responsiblities of maintaining it now. So I'll answer yes and no in regards to me being the Webmaster. It was created using FrontPage. I basically told him the colors to use and how I wanted things organized and as with many things he does on the computer, he did a great job.
