Hi Steve. I envy you because your wife loves woodworking and likes to be in your shop.
Good to be of service to your country. You'll just love retirement and being in the shop all the time.

    Cheers, Jim

read your post on Karson's mess of a shop…Ha ha ha, good way to say it while being polite.
I was jealous of the lumber, wow.
What a freakin' mess though, I may have OCD, maybe not, but I cannot work in organizational madness.
    Good reply.

Hey, thanks for the welcome. Your projects are top shelf man. I'm usually in awe of the tools in these shops but your benches are the real beauties. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Ice hockey playing lumber jocks? We are doing nothing to dispel the the Canadian stereotype.

    Hi Wisty,
Yes, I agree about the addictive part. I'm actually a bit worried at how much time I've consumed this week since I signed on to LumberJocks! And I have two kids in college who need me to generate a little more moolah before I start spending all of my weekdays in the shop! Paul

    Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been on my own home page for a while… This site is so addicting that I am constantly on everyone elses sites… lol
Profenceworks: thanks for the comments on my shop… it gets better every day… still a long way to go until it is fully set up, lots of benches and cabinets still to come. Just a matter of getting the time to be in the shop. Weekend warrior work is difficult especially while handling a full time job in the Navy…
knottysticks and ajjeep, sit down, strap yourselves in, your in for one heck of a ride… this site is so addictive, and full of so many wonderful projects, there is almost no time for shop time anymore… lol, best of luck trying to find a balance of shop time and computer LJ surfing time…
LJ: If memory serves, I was issued my sense of humour when I joined the Navy 21 years ago… lol, with the state of the ships back then, you NEEDED a good sense of humour or you would easily go insane… lol

Albeit a bit tardy, welcome to LJ from another LJ, LJ. Being a woodworker and in the military! Both require concentration and dedication to do the job well, as we can see from your posted projects. Welcome Aboard.
You most certainly have a wonderful sense of humor, a trait I have likely from my namesake, St. Lawrence, patron of comedians.
    Peace,
    LJ
