Week before Christmas and I have two things to do. First, and most importantly, be the primary child-care giver this week (I’m off work, Momma ain’t) and two, build Christmas presents for five to ten family members.

My son is seven months old. No help there.

I had to make this today…

And then shim it…

Shim it!

In order to make these tea candle holders…

Right now, the sun has set and I’ll be slapping some oil/varnish on ‘em and calling it a season.

-- make it safe & keep the rubber side down.

WOW…look at that shop chair. Nice candle holders too. Is that a huge block of styrofoam?

Yes – it’s a three foot square cube of styrofoam…don’t even ask how I got it.

I do have plans for it, though, which is why it’s still in my shop. Until then, it makes a fine semi-permanent-too-low assembly table, but just right for kicking your legs up for a beer ‘n’ smoke on a Texas night. Speaking of…I have an appointment to keep…
