Dear myself,I am almost done with my Bed for Joshua. The linseed oil is drying and it is waiting for the oil based polyurethane. I am taking a few days break to make sure that the Linseed Oil is good a dry. Also, I do not want to make any last minute mistakes. (I always get rushed at the end of the project because I am excited. The rush has a double whammy effect because I do not have the next thing in the pipeline.) Dear Me, Over Christmas I took a 12 hour (round trip) down to see my mother and her family. I had a good time. Part 4: The computer model is complete

Dear Me, I have spent much of the day completing the 3D model of the dresser. I have used similar construction found in the curio cabinet we have that is amish made. I had originally intended that the dresser have 3 false drawers across the top and I found it did not look right. 4 false drawers look much better. Here is the link to the sketch up model.SketchUp 8 Next on the list of to do’s is to make a cut list. Then I can go about sourcing the wood. Weth.

Part 5: Thanksgiving work.

Work has begun! I have been looking forward to working with my son ever since last Christmas when I complete a bed for my youngest son. Zachary is only 9 at the time and even though we share development of the design and selected the hardware, that was a long time ago. I completed several smaller projects between now and then.
