My workshop is built under our garage. About 24×24. As I have a house setting that allowed for a walk-out basement, the workshop is “in the basement”, but has windows, carriage house doors, and a patio directly outside. The shop is a bit cramped (but who’s isn’t), so I keep all the major equipment on wheels. Mostly furniture making and turning. When the weather cooperates (and that is a lot of the time here in the North Carolina mountains), I wheel the equipment outside. Planning to build an outdoor workbench in the near future.

I really dig your shop. It’s so interesting to see what machines people use, how they set them up, etc. Yours is among the nicest shops I’ve seen here.

A real fine shop, from the floor up and if that rocking chair is any sign of what goes on in there you do some real fine woodwork!
