        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="For Dad" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/343359-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>For my dad.<br />~Walnut and Cherry~  I know he likes this.<br />Finished with tung oil with a wax finish.<br />Made an access panel on the bottom.</p>


	<p>Dad passed away this past July.  It was very unexpected and he is missed tremendously.  <br />This is for him.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Microwave Stand/Bread Box/Tater Bin/Onion Bin/Etc....." src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/334316-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>Another step to eliminating store bought laminate furniture from my home&#8230;<br />Top is bread box with full width door that drops down.  left side is storage with two adjustable shelves inside.<br />Right side has tater/onion bins in top drawer, bottom is regular storage&#8230; used full extension drawer slides.<br />Bottom drawer is storage. <br />Oak plywood for most of cabinet case. Oak face frame, used pocket holes for that. Purchased the punched tin. Used a lot of wormy red oak for top, doors face frame. <br />Finished with gel stain and shellac. <br />Probably will not use gel stain again&#8230; trouble getting the color even.</p>

      <title>Walnut / Curly Maple End Tables</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Walnut / Curly Maple End Tables" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/269082-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>Made these to go along with my maple butcher block coffee table&#8230;<br />Walnut with curly maple tops and slatted shelf.<br />Drawer boxes are maple as well.<br />All mortice and tenon.<br />Finished with Danish oil, poly, and a nice coat of Johnson&#8217;s wax.</p>


	<p>Wife is pleased&#8230; mostly that there will be no sawing or sanding in the basement for a few days.</p>]]>

      <title>Butcher Block Table</title>

        <![CDATA[<p><img alt="Butcher Block Table" src="http://lumberjocks.com/assets/pictures/projects/266210-196x130.jpg" /></p><p>My first Project&#8230; finished May 2011.<br />End grain hard maple with walnut trip and walnut frame.  <br />Started this project before I knew anything and made some mistakes that I plan to fix.<br />The end pieces I attached with glue and the movement of the wood has caused what was once a very clean corner to look not so pleasing.  I do plan on taking those off eventually and attaching bread board ends to the table.<br />Table is 3&#8221; thick and solid throughout, 25&#8221; x 36&#8221;.  Each piece was cut individually and jointed to the next. Used router jig and dish bit to flatten the top/bottom and then a LOT of sanding.  <br />Walnut frame was hand cut mortice and tenon.  <br />Finished with 8 coats of tung oil&#8230; cut the first 3 or 4 with mineral spirits.  <br />Serves as our coffee table for now&#8230; may be a top to a small kitchen island some day.</p>]]>
