My shop is in my garage and is pretty much complete. I’m working on building out tool storage and shop organization. My major tools are as follows:
Delta X5 Unisaw
1940’s Delta 12” Lathe
Jet VS Mini Lathe
Delta 12” Bandsaw 28-190
Rigid Planer
Rigid 15” drill press
Rockwell 32” radial drill press
General 6” Jointer
Jessem Router Table
Porter-Cable Air Compressor
Makita sliding miter saw
Shop Fox Dust collection
Delta Mortiser
Work Sharp Woodworking Sharpening System
Slow Speed Grinder with a Wolverine Sharpening Jig
SJÖBERGS Elite Duo 1500 Workbench
Dewalt 925 Radial Arm Saw
My wish list includes a Performx 16/32 sander and a new bandsaw capable of doing some serious resawing.
Here are some additional photos.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will post some pictures once the shop is cleaned up. Lol. I have to find a place for the stuffed peacock my wife put on my table saw.

Take a picture with the peacock on the saw. It will give a nice light hearted look at the shop.

I was planning on including the peacock in the before pictures. I had just come home from a trip to Houston and it was quite a surprise to find the damn thing there. For some reason, my wife though my son would want it and brought it home.
LOL. come to think of it I have a mounted deer head on the wall of the shop that has similar origins. I had been collecting deer and elk antlers to turn some writing pens and I saw a large mount at a garage sale. I belive it was going for 2 or 3 dollars. I purchased the head and headed home to remove the antlers and dispose of the head. My family saw the head and would not allow me to carry out my plans. It now adorns the garage wall.
I think one of the biggest challenges of having a garage shop is keeping your family from cleaning house by dumping stuff on your tools, work benches and in the floor space you need to work safely with the tools. I would love to have a large detached shop that I could keep “pure”.

Not yet. If he hangs around much longer we will have to have a name the peacock contest or something. The winner for the best name gets, hmmmm, a peacock?

Thanks for visiting my shop WayneC. I have two Stanley planes that I have apart that I would like to “tune up.” Some times I wish I had a long base plane cause I don’t have a jointer machine.

Your most welcome. Take a trip to the local antique malls and flea markets. You should be able to find a good jointer plane for $30-40. If not, you can always try ebay.

The shop is getting cleaner, although the mascott is still on the table saw. It was to the right of where I was standing when I took the pictue. I’m about to move the slot machine back into the house. Hard to get anywork done if your pulling the handle.
I’m thinking I can put him on the slot machine when I move it into the house. Although, I do not have “approval” to do either.

Changed the photos some as the shop is getting cleaner. I left the pictures of LJ (the peacock) and the deer in for MsDebbieP.
I got a little shaken up yesterday. I watched the Woodwright show on PBS with Roy Underhill and realized he has a stuffed Turkey in his shop. I hope I’m not headed that far into hand tool land.

I agree it is a beaut. It came with the Lathe. Some day I will have that level of skill.
I purchased the lathe from a retired cabinet maker and cabinet shop owner. He made it. I also had the opportunity to view his home. The walls were all covered in mahogany frame and panels. He had a stair case also made of mahogany. There was an amazing amount of hand spindle work in it.

It is a 28-190. An older delta 12”. Similar in design to the 14” saws with a 1/2 hp motor. It is on my upgrade list.
I would like to have a saw with 12” resaw capacity. Perhaps the powermatic 14”, Delta X5” 14”, Rikon Delux 14” or hopefully a used industrial bandsaw. I would love to have an old 20” powermatic or Cresent. Although room in my shop might be an issue for something too large.

I like your shop Wayne,(clean and sharp) thats a nice blue scarecrow, I bet it works better than a watchdog and less maintanence. I’ve been wanting a second lathe Wayne, a jet actually(JML 1014VSI 10 Inch X 14 Inch Variable Speed Indexing Mini Lathe $325 delivered), hows yours work? would you recomend a jet to me for a second lathe?

I’ve been trying to get rid of the watchdog. I keep getting promised that he will leave the shop. Time will tell. I’ve been very happy with my Jet Lathe. It gets used all the time. Never an issue. It is the same model.

Very nice shop Wayne – and I love the peacock – reminded me of an incident that took place between my son and his grandmother. He was about 6 – had been trained to shoot a 22 very well. Grandma complained about the neighbors peacocks (4 of them) doing thier job on her car and wishing someone would do something about the critters. My son took her words to heart – grabbed the 22 and got rid of all 4 peacocks. Needless to say – Grandma – grabbed the shovel – disposed of the birds – and told my son never to speak of them again. The neighbor never did figure out where his 4 peacocks went. Grandma learned not to complain around my son. Was a good lesson….anyhow….was a funny memory that your pet peacock reminded me of – and again…great shop…..
