This may not warrant a posting , but I had to share.
My wife called me at work yesterday afternoon and said I have a SURPRISE for you when you get home.
I thought of many things I hoped it would be, but never dreamed that when I got home, she takes me by the hand and walks me to my shop.
I hardly recognized the place. She had spent 3 hours with a dust mask, leaf blower, air hose and both doors open and had completely cleaned the shop of all sawdust. Now I keep a pretty clean shop, but nothing like this.
It looked like an O.R. room. I almost hate to cut anything and mess it up.
This will probably cost me a new project of her choosing, but it will be gladly built.

You’re a blessed man, Wade! Treat her like a queen!
Hmmm. I forward this post to my wife (hint, hint). I’ll be out of town for the next four days. Will a similar surprise be waiting for me when I get home?

The thing I hate about when people attempt to clean my shop, is I spend MORE time trying to find things that I knew were RIGHT HERE, before the clean-up.
It’s a nice gesture and all, but I don’t care for other people cleaning my shop, without me being involved.

Don’t forget to give her a BIG HUG!
I loved it when my wife used to clean up my shop, but now with her allergies, the place isn’t the same anymore.

She does deserve a big hug as Dick said. Mine does that too from time to time (she is a neatness addict) but when she does I can’t get to anything. All the tools are neatly lined up three deep along one wall of my shop and she readily points out how much more room I have this way. But I do appreciate her cleaning the shop. Like you my idea of clean does not match my wife’s idea.
Now you have some extra time to make her something.

Gee Wade your shop must look like Norms now! Ever notice how he never nas any sawdust around. I swear that someone must rush in between scenes and clean up every bit of sawdust.

Wow! Does she hire out? I could use her for about 2 weeks.
Good on her and good on you for keeping her.

If my wife did something like that I don’t know if I could find anything.

Hmmmm, not for my liking. I like my shop just as it is. The wife needs a password before she can enter. LOL

I’m with Grumpy and Brian on this one. Please DON”T clean my shop! I know where everything is located and besides, there is probably a new tool hidden under the dust that she doesn’t know about- yet.
Don Newton, there actually is a guy that rushes in after each shot and cleans up the saw dust! Check out the New Yankee Workshop web cam, when they are filming and you can watch what goes on!

I am in agreement that I don’t like someone in my shop, however, she didn’t move anything but dust.
All the tools that I had left laying around from the night before were where I left them.
Some of my sketches got moved from getting blown around, but other than that she left things alone.
She is really concerned about me breathing in dust and that was her motivation.
