I would generally describe myself as a Civil Engineer by education and neophyte woodworker with passion.

I am the proud father of two wonderful children and happily married husband of one wonderfully supportive and beautiful wife. Without my family to share my journey with the fabric of life's experiences would unravel and leave but a void. While I have a deep passion to pursue nirvana through woodworking, family is my foremost responsibility and joy in life.

I have been immersing myself in woodworking information for about 2 to 2 and half years now. I have completed a few smaller projects, including an ash and walnut floating top end table. I am currently working on a small curly maple and walnut sofa table and a cherry and walnut jewelry box. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants on most projects, which I know is not the best habit. The two biggest hurdles I face are availability if time and confidence in my ability to avoid failure. I realize the latter may seem unusual, but it becomes very easy to fall into the paralysis by analysis mode of operation when lacking confidence.

My hope for participating here at LumberJocks is to meet likeminded people with the same passion for woodworking that I have and being able to share our experiences to enrich each other's experiences. I am by no means a wealth of information, but I am open to sharing my journey regardless of the successes or failures.

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. Now if you don't mind I need to get back to pulling this daggone splinter from my finger. Tissues and pacifiers appreciated, but unnecessary.
