I am an amateur woodworker who specializes in fine jewelry boxes. I have been making them off and on for the past 20 years. However, it wasn't until I moved to my new home three years ago that I had a shop of my own. Okay, so it's a garage shop, but at least I have been able to outfit it with my own tools and have my own space to work! Since then I have been able to work on projects more regularly. I really enjoy working with exotic hardwoods and incorporating more than one in each design. I am constantly trying things with projects that stretch my abilities so that I can learn new techniques.
I should also mention that I am the person on the right in the photo that serves as my "Buddy Icon" (it's from a walking relay race that I participate in, our team name is "Road Kill Grill", and our mascot is, you guessed it, the turkey vulture.). I have one of me solo, but I can't get the darned thing to stay rotated upright! Suppose I could post it, as most days I am off-kilter anyway!
