Hand Plane Quest #1: The Purchase
Recently I have been keeping an eye out on garage sales and auctions for some hand planes. Before last weekend I only had a newer Stanley block plane. The auction I went to only listed hand planes with no details and no pictures. I was also interested in some old furniture they had so I went any way. I’m glad I did! In a box of miscellaneous items I got 3 planes. One is unmarked and I’m not sure what it is (will post a picture if someone wants to help identify it), a Stanley #40, and a Bailey #5.
