After a lot of research, and a phone call to Vega. I have decided to go with the Vega Utility 26 to replace the “CRAP!!!” that came with my Craftsman Hybrid Table saw. The guy i spoke with at Vega assured me that it should bolt right up with no issues.

I have to say i am not happy about spending another $275 on a fence for a $650 saw. The price of the UT26 on amazon and Rockler is $329, but i had some amazon reward points saved up. (i spend way TOO much money on amazon :) If i had it to do all over again i would have purchased a different table saw, but it was my first purchase. Other than the fence it is a good saw. The table is flat and blade is true…all i need now is the ability to cut at 90 degrees to it and it should be a great saw…til i get a bigger shop at least….

The fence should be here in a few weeks. Once it comes in and i get it setup, I will post a review. Until then its, time to run all the dedicated electrical outlets for the garage, install the mini split, and setup my rikon 10-325.

I hope you have not ordered it.

I bought a new table saw for $1000 a jet cast iron extensions. The fence has zero run out with slots and o.oo8 ” runout of blade. Cannot be happier. Cheap saw was sometimes dangerous .

Ron, déjà vu! I did the same thing years ago. You will like the Vega fence if they haven’t changed it. It still jumps around slightly when you tighten it down but then you can do a quick check front and back to make sure it is right on the money. Force of habit. I liked the fence so much that when I upgraded the saw I moved the fence to a large router table I built. I can’t remember too much fiddling around mounting it as you said just bolting it on. Hope it works out for you. Don
