no previous part Part 1 of New Project series no next part

I will be building two floor to ceiling shelving units to flank a family room fireplace. A 75” tall x 42” wide x 12” deep shelf unit will be sitting on top of a 32” tall x 42” wide x 20” deep base cabinet. Both units will be made of solid 3/4” poplar and painted white. The top will be finished off with crown moulding.

Well being in 2 pieces should help. How do you plan on doing the crown at the arched top? Just a small reveal?

I have 4” from the bottom of the arch to the ceiling. I plan on putting up the crown after it’s in place. I should have enough reveal to work with. don’t you think?

I’ve been watching glue dry for the past couple nights. If I only had more clamps and space.
