Location: Aurora, Illinois

Retired Teamster truck driver - drove for the same company for 30 years.
Retired in 2004 and loving it! I've always been handy with wood and thought I'd give woodworking a try. Bought some power tools and the rest is history.
I'm actually pretty good at it and just about everything I make is custom -sizes and shapes, etc. Alot of jewelry boxes and bandsaw boxes, knives, frames, small furniture and all the stuff the neighbor ladies can throw at me.

My wife makes jewelry and I make all the wood components.

I would agree that you have some skill at this woodworking thing! Nice box. I like using Canarywood. The Purplehaeart goes well with it.

A late Welcome to your! Pretty soon we will be hitting 100,000 members. I remember when I stumbled onto this site and there about 8000 and I thought that was a huge amount of members. Now I have friends all over the world. I had joined a number of other woodworking sites but they are cumbersome to use and the folks are nowhere near as friendly!! This is the best site on the web!!

Cheers, Jim
