    Beautiful job.

To attach the pedestal, cut a ply annulus, glue and screw it to the top, then put a dounle-ended screw centrally in the top of the pedestal, drill the bottom of the board for the screw, glue the inside of the annulus and the part of the board that it will contact and simply screw the annulus into position

Hi there everyone! This is my first time posting so be nice…I'm not sure if I have it done correctly. Anyhoot, I just finished this yesterday and thought I'd post a couple of pics of it. I originally started this out as just a chess board, but thought, what the hell, let me try a table. After I was into it, I liked it so much I started another one with purple heart and maple and I'll post that one when finished. Only thing I'm having a problem with is a good way to attach the pedestal to the bottom of the table.
    Thanks!
