Finally! My retired school teacher friend/electrician/carpenter/plumber/drywall finisher/general all-around great guy, finished wiring my shop with 220 and connecting my previously mentioned band saw, jointer, planer, and sanders. I won’t bore anyone with the details as to why it has taken so long to make these machines come to life, (he’s busy and I’m cheap), but I think I had a religious experience with I flipped switches and let them run. Did I say run? No, they each roared to life more like the V-8 engine of a mid-70’s muscle car. Powerful. Sturdy. Without vibration…and that’s before I ran any wood through any of them! Once again, this equipment is well beyond my budget, skill level, and shop space, but I just had to brag to someone, at least anonymously on this site, before I lost any digits and can’t type. As I previously stated, thanks to my late father for his financial donation and for his patience. I could never hope to emulate the best man I have ever known.
