Location: Springfield, Virginia

I'm an amateur woodworker. Worked three years as a carpenter for a theatrical scene shop, so I'm fairly skilled with most woodworking tools, but pretty much completely new at making anything durable.

I've finally digested the arrival of my first child and the purchase of my first house, and I'm ready to finally pick up the bigger tools that I don't yet have and try my hand at some simple furniture.

First up is a rocking horse for my daughter.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
