I started woodworking as a hobby about 2 years ago, I really enjoyed it and made lots of really cool scrap. Then I stumbled upon a scroll saw on Craigslist and figured" What the Heck" so I bought it. Little did I know at the time it would literally change my life's direction. I fell in love with my crappy little scroll saw the first time I used it, since then we have gotten married and I see no divorce in the future! Over a relatively short period of time I actually got to the point where I made much less scrap and made more and more usefully and pretty good looking stuff too. I would see all these really cool portraits that people would do, So I spent the time and effort to learn how to make the patterns in order to create my own portraits. People started going crazy over them to the point that I have started my own little Etsy web site to offer portraits to others. So yes, life has changed to a course that I never would have thought of a few years ago, and I'm really happy it did.
