i got into woodworking through playing the Native American Flute. i began making them in bamboo then wood, which led to making other world flutes, then other woodworking disciplines like scrolling, woodturning, rustic craftwork and so on...snowballs still rolling!
i started milling yard trees with an Alaskan chainsaw-mill a few years ago to feed my shop and have more control over my materials. I'm also very environmentally conscious and hated seeing perfectly good trees wasting away in the landfills, i really love the fact that we can take "waste" and create something beautiful and useful~
