I aspire to do cabinetry and furniture making someday, but right now I just do woodturning and a bit of carving.
I've got an 8 year old goddaughter who loves spending time at the lathe with me.
I've got two dogs who accompany me to the shop: a 13 year old and a 2 year old pup.
When I'm not in my woodshop, or relaxing in front of a fire fueled by offcuts, I spend my days working at

Ordered (5) 18′ long 2×12s. Cut them to half length, yielding (10) 9′ long 2×12s. Ripped each into three equal pieces, yielding (30) 9′ 2×4s. Planed the faces of each, reducing thickness to 1 3/8″. Picked 24 good ones, divided into 4 g...
