I was born on the East coast of Canada in the sixties and took woodworking all through high school I worked using the term loosely with various cabinet makers has a "kid helper" (hinderer in most case). Moved to Ontario in 1989 and did a major career change, I am now in health care. I did some woodwork in a small shop in the early 90’s but in 1998 I bought my current house and set up my shop in the basement however the dust and noise was problematic. This summer I build a small shed in the backyard originally as storage solution but before I knew it I was making saw dust again and nowI have moved the entire shop out to the shed. The downside is I still have a storage problem but I now have a nice place to hide and work on a truly relaxing craft.
