04-24-2017 01:39 PM by Tony19 | 1 comment »

So a couple weeks ago I decided to make cornhole boards so I gathered all the materials and wood I would need, cut my pieces to size and here I am now. I just put together one board and I’m getting ready to start on the second. After I’m done attaching the ply wood I will connect my legs and drill the hole in the middle with a circular saw.

This week I drilled my holes using a router bit tool. I drilled holes for my legs also and when I tried to line them up and connect the legs I noticed the bolt was in there crooked. Next week I will start painting an orange and blue design on the boards.

But I did realize I want to cover up some markings on the sides of my boards so I plan to use black paint on the sides after I’m done with the face. Other than that, I’ll finish painting, then throw on some poly on the stain on my mid...

Part 5: Finishing touches, decal

On the one cornhole board I have to put one coat of black paint on the sides and the other one is all done but I have to wait for the 2nd coat of yellow to dry and remove the tape. I plan to put on those decals on my boards with the help of my woodshop teacher. After I’m done with those things I’ll take them home and eventually to Clarion with me in the fall!
