I wonder how I will build a database like this photo. Circle is in the feet and I have no ideia.Gostava to know your opinion and help! Thank you friends!

oh dah? haven’t done this but possibble laminated bending in layers possibly thick enough for a lap joint? Good luck!

I haven’t done anything like it either. This looks like a Japanese or Chinese lacquer ware. Some use wood that they shape first and immersed in molten lacquer. The other way is by moulding molten lacquer just like the way they make plastic items. No wood is involved in the latter. If my guess is right and it is really lacquer ware then some new skills have to be learned over and above woodworking. It also might be resin. I took a short course in resin moulding once. I found it very interesting but it is remotely related to woodworking. Even so it opens a whole new world of creative possibilities.

I think DocSavage has it. Bent laminations. But this would take some real setting up to get right I imagine.
